Bluebird Tweets......

Fall has arrived in the Bluebird room!  We are enjoying all the sights, textures and smells of fall.  We are using our senses to discover all that nature has to offer us this time of year.

Our focus this month will be Autumn, leaves, pumpkins, spiders and farm animals.  Our Bible Verse is, "A Friend Loves at All Times." Proverbs 17:17.  Your child will be bringing home paper dolls with band-aids to illustrate that we love our friends.  It will also have our Bible Verse displayed on it. Ask your child to show you the hand motions! The children are amazing to watch!  Such a blessing, and each time they are hiding God's Word in their heart.

We had our first Motor Movement Class with Ms. Betty and Ms. Gail this week and all the children loved taking turns rolling the big red ball, playing with beanbags and following along to fun movement songs.  It was a big hit with the children!  So many giggles and smiles.

Sensory Table: Oatmeal, black beans, spiders, tweezers, cardboard tubes, pumpkins to scoop and fill.
Water Table: Bubbles, fishing nets and orange ping-pong balls to pretend to catch pumpkins.
Block Center: Squishy pumpkins to stack, count, and put into rows, large spiders and foam blocks.
Home Living: Fall themed foods, table settings, babies, bottles, and blankets for pretend play.
Writing Center: chalkboards, chalk, pumpkin scented play-doh, and black beans to push into the play-doh to work our fine motor skills.
Circle: Pumpkin, Pumpkin Wants a Treat game to learn the color   orange.  Fall themed books, Old MacDonald Had a Farm song and farm puppets.
